Today (June 21, 2012), the Florida Department of Education posted the Civics End-of-Course Assessment Test Item Specifications on the FDOE website in the following location: http://fcat.fldoe.org/eoc/itemspecs.asp

The Department produces item specifications to guide the development of statewide assessment items. These specifications are based on Florida’s Next Generation Sunshine State Standards and define both the content and the format of the test items. Their primary purpose is to establish the Department’s guidelines for test item writers and reviewers, so items are written to measure the concepts in each assessed benchmark. Item specifications also serve as valuable resources for educators and the general public.
