Kicks for a Cause Shoe Drive Runs to the Finish Line!

Our Bengal Book Club and library assistants have been busy collecting shoes for Healing Paws for Warriors, Inc. in conjunction with Random Acts of Kindness Week!  Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of those in our community, we changed our original goal of 100 to 250 pairs and extended our drive until Feb. 19th.  We'll be announcing the grand total collected on Friday--stay tuned for updates!  A big "thank you" to all those folks who searched their closets and brought in donations!  Together, we can make a difference;Ransom rocks!

Headless Horseman's Harvest of Boxtops Contest Gallops to a Close!

Our horseman is back at the stable and has the results of our contest.  Ms. Greenfield's class galloped to victory!  As the winners, they were treated to Krispy Kremes, oj, or milk during their advisory class on the 31st!  Ms. Gainey and Ms. Woods' classes were not far behind, and they also got a little surprise treat to start off their mornings.  Thanks to all who participated.  Your Boxtops help turn those labels into cool books and supplies for our library.  Start clipping and saving today in preparation for our next contest in the spring.  Thanks for your support!

CALLING ALL BOXTOPS...PLEASE CLIP FOR THE LIBRARY

RMS library/innovation center is now collecting Boxtops labels to help us buy supplies, books etc.  Keep Boxtops from products you already buy and send in your Boxtops labels to our Tiger library.  Together, we can enhance our students' innovation center experience.

Back By Popular Demand--Innovation Center Makerspaces!

Our Innovation Center is now much more than books, computers and internet. We are excited to continue offering a wide array of immensely popular makerspaces to our Tiger patrons during the 2018-19 school year.

Makerspaces are places for students to create, experiment, build, and craft.  At Ransom, these dynamic areas change and grow throughout the year, offering spaces in a wide range of subject areas and student-driven interests.  This year, our spaces will feature everything from circuitry sets and app-controlled robotic devices to magnetic poetry, structure-building and origami! We are also introducing a rotating "What is it Wednesday" feature in which students can get "hands-on" with some of our more technical makerspaces, such as Makey Makey, Ozobots and Sphero Ball.
