Student Registration

What you need in order to register a new student at Ransom Middle School:



1. Proof of Residence

Utility Bill (power, water, or gas bill), lease or closing papers on a house, military housing papers, letter from landlard stating all utilities are in his/her name with telephone number and address to verify. No telephone or cable bill.


2. Certificate of Immunization

Blue Florida Shot Certification of Immunization from E.C.H.U. (Unless the student is coming from an in-county school --- check computer for shots).


3. Physical

If a student has never attended a Florida school they must have a Florida Physcial on a yellow form within 30 days after registration.


4. Birth Certificate


5. Social Security Card (or number)


6. Final report card showing student's promotion to the next grade level.


7. Most current test scores.


If the student is coming from outside Escambia County and is a 7th or 8th grader, we must have a 6th grade report card for the 7th graders and a 6th and 7th grade report card for the 8th graders.

Escambia County requires four (4) academic credits for each grade level and a 1/2 credit for career exploration.

Without proof of these credits the student will have to repeat that grade level.

Student Immunization

The school district has asked that we do not allow any 7th grade students to attend scheduled classes until we have received documentation of immunization. 

Students who come to school without proof of immunization will be given and alternative assignment until immunization is verified.

If you have received recent telephone notification, it is because we do not have evidence that your 7th grade student has received the TDAP Booster Immunization.  We need you to take care of this as quickly as possible.
